Notes from today’s meeting
Authorship
All happy to adopt authorship rules – drafted by nystagmus subgroup and more generally being adopted by ISCET.
Manuscript
Discussion section considered. The general feeling is that we should avoid restating results and try to promote discussion of the results.
The version containing lots of comments is cluttered. All would prefer a clean version for circulation.
There are limits for publication in Documenta Ophthalmologica – words / refs / Figs / supplementary information all discussed.
Agreement to move most recent version to Overleaf, which is to be used from this point onwards (as this uses LaTeX).
FM has the Overleaf pro version, which should enable multiple users to edit the document at the same time. FM has already created the Figs in Overleaf. FM to add Figs to the results section. GA and MD to add to discussion section draft.
For those contributing to the manuscript – we need to ensure they register for Overleaf and then have the project shared with them (will require email address details to be given to FM). FM can help anyone struggling with this system.
Whilst there are current authors involved, we remain open to others being involved in the manuscript if they are able to contribute. Several people contributed earlier in the project, so we need to ensure all contributors are acknowledged.
Actions from today’s meeting
1. GA to circulate meeting notes to all in the working group, in addition to the authorship criteria being adopted by ISCET more generally.
2. Anyone wanting to be able to access and work on the manuscript in Overleaf needs to contact FM and ask for the project to be shared with them. FM will require their email address. fmul@dtu.dk
3. Deadlines – we are aiming for 3/52 for edits to be made to the manuscript in Overleaf. Edits are required at this stage, rather than comments. We are aiming for the end of June for this to be completed. The group would like to work towards an intended submission date of mid July
4. GA to share video with SC / MD for the ISCET website record
